Windows 10 - Lock screen and screensaver problems

I upgraded from Win7 Home Premium to Win10 home a few weeks ago. I notice that the lock screen doesn't seem to give me the spotlight feature, it is enabled in my settings but it doesn't give me the "Like what you see" link at the top right. Also, I've set it to show detailed info from the Weather app, but that doesn't appear either.

Also, I've got my screensaver set to blank screen at 15 mins and then the power settings to switch off the display at 45 mins, but I can leave the PC on, locked and untouched all day and neither of those things happen.

Any ideas?

Don't know about the fluffy things that spotlight is supposed to offer - I've turned them all off.

As for the screensaver and power settings things go, make sure they are the same in both the Windows10 settings area AND in the power section of the old school control panel. I've found that options that are available in both menus seem to default to the control panel settings.

Thanks Guido. I didn't realise the old control panel still existed, I've only ever seen the Settings window in Win10, where do I find the old control panel?

1) winkey-r, type in control
2) right-click the new start button, control panel is about 2/3rds of the way down
3) start menu -> all apps -> Windows System -> Control Panel

are the 3 easiest/fastest ways to get to it. If you go with option 3, you can right click on the selection and pin it to either the top of the start menu or (my preference) the task bar.

Thanks. I tried that but the control panel route just took me to the same place that the Settings window does, which shows as being set to 15 min for screensaver and 45 min for monitor standby, but doesn't do either of those.
