all drivers are up to date tho it did work as some updates are there?

i have run the win update trouble shooter and its not found anything to fix. there is a display driver that is not working a microsoft basic 1 but disabled it as not using it and still not working.

anything else i can try or a vid out there showing what to do to fix it?

is it win defender that is stopping the win update from not working or something else?

I had this exact issue on my Dad's PC. It was trying to install drivers for a GPU which wasn't even in the PC!

To be honest I wish I had an answer, but I just forgot about it and it went away. Then it come back again with the printer, but went away again.

Microsoft wanted Windows 10 to almost run its self, and become "indestructible" so I just tend to let Windows Update get on with it now.

Gone are the days of Win 95/98/XP with these web browser updates needing intervention.

Glad you fixed it. I had a similar issue but just wiped my hard drive to a fresh copy of Win 8, I then did the upgrade process again which worked.
