    abit ip35 pro problems again

    hi yoyotech

i know your not to blame but i turn to you again

i bought my whole system from yourselfs about 8 months ago and two months ago i had a problem with my m/board

after doing the usual checking the bios and clearing reseating the cpu and one stick of memory i rma it and got another one which i only built two weeks ago

    and now its goine again

i havent cleared the bios or took the m/board out of the case to see if that works yet (i will do all this tonight)it was the error code that was my nightmare same as before f.5. it means nothing no explanation anywere for it

    ill explain what happend

last night we had a thunder storm so before it got here i thought safty first undid all wires to my pc including the broadband and left it like that this morning then plugged them all back in and nothing

its been working good for two weeks

but now as soon as i plug in the power lead i get the error i dont even need to press the power button

im currently clearing the bios and going to try that before i rebuild it on carboard out of the case im also going to disconect the power button from the case to the m/board

but i am losing confidence in abit m/boards now in my life ive had 3 and 3 of them have broken
on the other hand gigabyte m/boards always work for me

i keep thinking if its my power supply but last time before i sent it back i bought a gigabyte m/board and thats how i checked the rest of my system and everything worked fine for the 6 weeks i was without the m/board

im sorry to be on a downer but i am not a happy bunny atm

any ideas or help would be usefull atm

    my system is q6600
    abit ip35 pro
    4*1 gb memery corsair
    seasonic powersupply 600+
    ati 4870

    edit*

k ive found the problem but still not fixed it

i removed the m/board and only installed the cpu,hsf ,power supply

after some 5 hours of playing with the mother board

i figured out if i disconect the power supply and every wire from the board and clear the bios wait for 30 mins then reconect it
then i can restart the motherboard

but if at any point i unconnect the power supply or turn off the power supply at the mains it wont boot and i get the f5 error even before i press the power button its as if the mother board is holding a charge or dosent like somthing with the power

the only way to clear it would be to disconect all the wires and clear the bios for 30 mins again and in a computer case this would not be a easy job to do
