    Re: abs_rios - X58 Core i7 build

I've got it up and running now First off have to say that it was really well packaged with all the bubble wrap which definitely helps in transit. Just a few questions though...

    1) I'm just confused about which fans the Modern V controller is linked to. My understanding is as below:

Fan 1 (CPU) is linked to 1 akasa fan on the cooler (shows max 1500rpm)
Fan 2 (VGA) is linked to the 2nd akasa fan on cooler (shows max 1500rpm)
Fan 3 (HDD) is linked to the top 230mm exhaust (shows max 600rpm)
Fan 4 (SYSTEM) is linked to the front 230mm intake (shows max 600rpm)
It seems as though the 230mm side intake is not connected.
Any clarification on this would be great

    2) Just realised that the Thermalright CF2 paste is still sealed. Was this not used on the CPU?

    3) Also, should I receive a Dirt 2 voucher with the ATI 5870?

Apart from that it seems to be running great so far and I'm really pleased with the outcome. It's a monster of a machine and everything is snappy and quick just as you'd expect (i haven't done any intense work yet, i.e. gaming). And thanks a lot to Philip, Chris and the rest of the team for making this dream machine

EDIT: Just played Crysis and it's awesome. Smooth gameplay on "very high" settings. Only downside is fans get a bit noisy when gaming but it's not a problem. At other times it's surprisingly quiet. Another thing i love is the cable management
