I am running on a Zalman 460w psu,

I havn't checked the voltage settings but you are right I power off count to 10 then it boots again.

How would I check the voltages,

    I am running ddr2 533
    7950 gx2
    Pentium d 3.2 extreme edition

    All on stock settings

Will this be sorted once a new bios come out, currently running on bios 11

memory voltage is in the bios
but with that graphics card there is a chance you are pushing that psu to its limits and the extreme edition is also very power hungry too generally

i dont think it will ever sort the cold boot out in bios update as it seems to me that the regs need a few seconds to build up enough juice to post properly

    Hello all

I've just bought the fp-in9 sli to replace my DS4 which block to 420 FSB.
I got it today and i will mount it in a few days.

It seems that the fp-in9 sli have a lot of problems to get hight fsb, most of you can't go till 400fsb stable !
The only 400+ report that i've seen on the web is the test from vr-zone. How can they get a 475 fsb as no-one on the net can get so hight ???

Do you think the problem is hardware or software ? A bios update could resolve this in the futur ? Or must i directly think to buy an another board ?

I'm really sad to see this problem, i was away from abit since my BF6, several years ago and just now that i decide to give a new chance to abit mobo, i see every one have some problem with

    Hi Buff,

Unfortunately 450fsb failed after 8 hours Orthos stress testing

About 440 seems to the max rock solid stable for me atm.

    Ok board mounted.
    C2D 6400 + Seasonic S12 500W + Abit FP-IN9 SLI.
Several hours of testing later :

Max bootable : 366 FSB (1464)... at stock NB & VTT voltage.
Tried to up the NB voltage to 1.5v & VTT to 1.43v -> same thing max boot at 366.
I tried a lot of things, all synchronisation modes, LDT coeff...

If i boot at 366 fsb and i overclock in windows with clockgen, the board seems to hold 401 FSB with NB 1.5v & VTT 1.43v.
Just done quick tests (30mn OCCT) so i can't say if it's really stable or not.

This board is a real deception for me... I really hope that bios update will help with this fsb problem...

    have you tried 11?

btw 650i has large memory holes, you may find it easier to boot over 400fsb (& there is a strap change ~425)

Good point buff...seems initial releases on just about any NF6 board have plenty of holes. Evga has a done a "fairly" good job of plugging them up. Though it boots at just about any spot on the buss now there are some points that are more stable than others. Hopefully Abit will follow suit...

    Yes bios 11.
No success in playing with straps, tried a lot of things up to 460 fsb.

But i've done a lot of new tests and i think there is an incompatibility with my value ram : V-data PC6400.
This memory works stable 420(840) 4-4-4-12 on the DS4.

But the FP-IN9 doesn't like it... Till 365 FSB linked it's ok but after, i must be in unlink mode, and ram between 700~733 only. With any other ram frequency, the mobo won't boot anymore.

I can boot in unlinked mode till 440 with ram at 733, but not stable in windows.
    Now, it's working at 375x8 / ram at 700 4-4-4-12 / NB 1.31v / VTT 1.31v. It seems stable.

I'm going to search the max stable with the memory 700~733 and after, the only thing that i've to do is to wait for my crucial D9 to do some new tests.
And to watercool the chipset in the same time

PS: sorry for my bad english, hope you can understand me

Bof, same things for me : awfull overclocking !

I've eliminated all heating problems by watercooling northbridge and southbridge to be sure : nothing more.

    Next try please...

    [edit]
A new cool feature : i can't get the board working with raid 0...
Tried with XP, XP SP1, XP SP2 with the raid driver on floppy.
Windows install : ok but when install finished, windows boot, come the win logo -> a blue screen of 0.5s and reboot...

Nah...that's not new. I couldn't get raid to go from day one with shipping bios. Maybe they've improved the "dysfunctionality" of it
