    Smile cpu power cables

    Hi,
Just assembling my new system and am slightly unsure as to which wires to use from the PSU to the ATX12V1 (cpu power) on my quadgt....
The board has 8 holes (apologies for stunning lack of technical jargon) the power supply provides on the same cable 2 x 4 male connectors - See pics below:

use all 8 if you are using core 2 and AMD 2 cores, you will need to. Old P4's don't need it.

Technical jargon is overrated unless you're a Star Trek fan, so don't sweat that one!

If the pic of the PSU instructions is any guide, those two four-pin plugs should clip together, effectively becoming a single eight pin block, which you then connect to the board. They split like that so this PSU can be used in older boards with four-pin headers.
    BH6, BX6 2.0, BE6, BE6-II 2.0, ST6-RAID, BE6-II 2.0 (again), BD7-RAID, BD7II-RAID, IC7-G, IC7 Max3, AB9 QuadGT, IX38 QuadGT. IX58... Oh, b*ll*cks. RIP Abit
