    AB9 Pro reset problem

    Hi just got my new board AB9 Pro and trying it out here are the specs

    AB9 Pro bios 17
    e6600
    2x 1gb buffalo firestix
    2x 1gb g.skils
    2x500gb hdd
    2xdvd writer
    silverstone 560watt psu
    x800 video card

    after making some tweaks the sweet spot was;
    8x400 fsb give me 3.2Ghz and work everything fine. Now here is the problem

    I save the setting on the profile of the board (profile 1) with all of the above settings. When ever I try to reset it via windows xp I get the C1 error, Upon obersrving what is going on I have to turn off the computer totally and reboot it again for it to work again....

    Anyone experience this???? and is there any way to erase/delete the save profile on the board? please help thanks

    Do you know what C1 menas? It has to do with the ram you have, it's not detected correctly. Guys from Abit sent me a BIOS, but the real solution in my case was to pull out the ram and press it in again (just for need and fun I used the other two slots).

    I had this for a while, couldn't even get in to BIOS the only way for me to fix it was a new BIOS chip.

    Re: AB9 Pro reset problem

    C1 = Detect Memory - Auto detect of DRAM size, type and ECC.

    Looks like the POST is halting as it does not like, or cannot properly detect, the RAM. Seems not to like it after a warm boot (restart) but OK after a cold boot (power off/on). Have you tried making all your OC settings in the BIOS? I assume - (maybe incorrectly) that you are using uGuru in Windows to tweak your settings
    Try to make each and every day the best it can be.
