IP-35 various little problem
First of which is the weird double post thing. Fans spin up..turns off and then comes back to life.
Second is the memory test takes a very long time..i'm sure it's something in the bios to change that but the pc is already with its new owner so could someone refresh my memory as to where that might be in the bios?
Third one is it seems to be reporting a cpu frequency error. It's not overclocked or anything so that sounds a little strange.
Are these all things that can be resolved with a bios update?
Cheers
Mike
Re: IP-35 various little problem
The abit bios team are currently looking into the power on issue. We should see at least a beta bios released soon.
The memory tests issue has been brought to my attension today and I will pass my finding onto the bios team.
Where are you seeing the CPU frequency error?
Re: IP-35 various little problem
I think the frequency error is on post but i will find out more and let you know.
The guy says the machine works fine so I don't know.
I do remember seeing the FSB and thinking it was a little higher than what it should be @ stock settings but I be imagining it. I'll get him to take a pic of the problem.

which ip35? ip35-e orthe ip35 pro? I have not reviewedthe IP35-E however I have been told there is a double boot issue with this board. The IP35 PRO as far as I am aware has no such problem. Board only shuts down and powers on when you save something to the BIOS!

Re: IP-35 various little problem
It's the IP-35 lol
the one in the middle of the E and the Pro
Re: IP-35 various little problem
Can confirm that the IP35E does the double boot (built 2 for friends recently).....the other issue with the E is that you need to mod an Arctic Freezer Pro 7 before it will fit =S
Re: IP-35 various little problem
you need to mod the AC Freezer even more on the DFI P35 - you have to cut the fins as well whereas on the IP35-E it's just part of the fan mounting.

Yep, I have the same here on my IP35 .... I wondered what the hell was going on!
The board appears to work stably apart from this though which is good news as I'm overclocking my 6600 to 3.2Ghz on air :)

I've just tried to find *any* beta releases of BIOS for the IP35 and can't ... only for the IP35-Pro (I'm presuming the BIOS's are not compatible?)
Any idea when you might be releasing an update BIOS for the IP35?
Thnx!

your wish ...

usual caveats about beta BIOS apply & you'll need to rename the file to .bin
Re: IP-35 various little problem
Unfortunately Buff, there are no beta BIOS's for the IP35 on there, only the IP35-Pro's.
Thanks anyway for trying to help though :)
Re: IP-35 various little problem
The IP35 & IP35-E share the same BIOS :)
