    UGuru Problems on my X38 Quad GT

    Hi all Okay this is my first Abit motherboard and so far Im pretty impressed except for one thing Uguru!!!

    For some unknown reason it doesnt save setting I change ether that or the setting are not saved in the bios.

    The setting I am changing are just the basic cpu temp system temp etc.

    I set them via the bios and when my pc boots up everything is okay but the next time I reboot they are all disabled!!! I have tried setting them via uGuru in windows and again I can restart the pc and they are okay but the next day or later that night again they are all disabled!!!

    So I was thinking it was a bios problem but all my other setting I change in the bios boot setup etc are always okay its just uGuru that being a nightmare.

    Any Ideas I have had to do a clean install on windows and I installed the latest version on uGuru after I did this but its still the same as it was before my clean install.

    I have only had the system setup for a couple of weeks and tbh I dont think I was having this problem for the first week or so although I wasnt happy with Uguru setup to control my cpu fan speeds every time I started up my pc the fan would run and different speeds even though the cpu temp was always about the same each time. fan speeds could vary from 800rpm to 1600rpm.

    So is it just me or is uGuru just pants

    Dont all jump in at once with answers now guys

    Okay so it looks like their might be a problem with these motherboards saving the bios settings

    There is a whole thread going on over on the USA Abit forum

    Intel chipset Socket T LGA 775 Motherboards - Universal abit USA Forums

    Anyone from Abit about want to comment on this or do we just send the boards back and buy Asus or something more reliable with proper tech support. I have emailed Abit but as yet Im still waiting on some kind of reply.

    once you get it working uGuru is very good for somethings & other things are best still done via BIOS.

    Problem sorted I changed the cmos battery and its fine now

    You think ASUS has superior support?

    Must admit though.......the ABIT officail support around here has become non-existent in the last few weeks.

    Well okay 4 days now and still nobody from Abit just as well I worked it out myself then

    Sean explained why in another thread - that doesn't prevent you emailing (if they've sorted the server)/'phoning abit UK though.
