IN9 32X-MAX not working properly in dual GPU SLI mode
Hopefully somebody has experienced this problem and know how to sort it.
I have recently built a new system and i am having trouble playing 3D games (Crysis, Supreme Commander, etc) whilst using 2 x 8500GT in SLI mode. The screen flickers so badly i can hardly see the menu to exit the game. Both metioned games work fine if i disable SLI mode in the forceware software.
I have upgraded the bios to 1.3 and have installed the microsoft hotfix shown on the nvidia drivers webpage. I have installed the latest nvidia drivers from their site but i still get the bad flickering.
Are there any setting in the Bios i need to configure in order to get both cards to link properly? I have also sent a support message to Inno3d who manufactured the card to see if they have any ideas but have not received any reply yet.
Any suggestions are welcome.
Thanks

SLI is controlled by the nVidia drivers so the won't be any bios settings for it.
You problem could be related to your PSU. Your system looks very power hungry.

Do you thinK?
Besides the 3 HDD's i cant see that rig being power hungry at all.
I would suggest a decent 500W would be more than enough for that system.

I have seen a lot bigger systems but it still needs a lot to run it. Might be the PSU having problems running the system . 700W will be enough if its in 100% working order.
but I would say its more of a driver issue.

Thanks for the replies. I have just received a support message from Inno3d.
Apparently the two 8500GT SLi Ready nvidia cards (as stated on their website) i bought, DON'T actually support SLi Bridge connection.
I am not up on all the latest tech (last build was Socket A 2500XP barton). I must have misunderstood their specs, but doesn't SLi Ready mean being able to connect the two GPU's together to increase performance?
Thanks again for the posts but it looks like i need to get new cards after christmas.
What a bummer!!
