IP-35 PRO ERROR when Grahics card swapped

Trying really hard to fathom this little gem out.
Had a 8800GTS running fine but it broke so I returned it and bought a 8800GT instead. I used an 8400GS while the RMA was dealt with. All worked fine.
Now my 8800gt has arrived, but when installed the Motherboard instantly gives a 9.0. error, re-boots a couple of times then changes to 9.8 then 9.9. There is a black screen throughout and it says no signal.
If I put the 8400GS back in all is well.
Tried all sorts, connections seem fine. I read it needs 24amp on the 12V rail so I used the supplied connector over both my rails (18amp) each but no joy. I have a Seasonic S12 600W power supply.

Re: IP-35 PRO ERROR when Grahics card swapped

Managed to get some info on the web and all the same problems with Abit boards and 9.0. error have been faulty boards. Replacements have done the trick. Looks like an RMA is probably needed. Has anyone sent back boards to Abit in the UK?

Re: IP-35 PRO ERROR when Grahics card swapped

For reference I have figured out the problem. The PCIEXP1 slot has shot it and will only work with low power cards. I managed to get the 8800gt to work in the PCIEXP2 slot but this is only x4 speed.

This has annoyed me all weekend.

    RMA time.
