Pioneer BDC-202 and Abit Fatal1ty F-190 HD motherboard

    Hi

I have just bought the Pioneer BDC-202 drive for the F-190 motherboard. I am not able to get the motherboard to recognise this drive though it can pickup other SATA DVD drives. Is there an issue with this board and drive?

    Thanks

    Ronnie

GOT Pioneer BDC-202 and Abit AN-M2HD motherboard

    Same problem.

I can access a part of the CD/DVD but then the system freezes. I tried Vista 64 & XP 32bit. Results the same. Must be something with SATA or controller.

Tried BDC-202 also with an Intel MB - no problem, BDC-202 works.

    Any help?

    Best Regards,
    Alex.

    Hi

Does this new bios actually allow the BDC-202 to work with the onboard SATA of the F-190HD? I am just loathe to buy one only to find I need to get a PCI sata controller too.

    Thanks

Im not sure as the update only mentions BLU-RAY drives and doesn't say what models.

updating the bios solves this issue

    Abit Fatal1ty F190-HD
    Intel Core 2 Quad 2.4
    OCZ 8gb DDR2 533mhz
    Sapphire 2600XT HD
    Pioneer BDC-202
