    AB9 SATA Problem

Have had this board for nearly a year and has run with no problems at all up till now.Has never been over clocked as it is my work machine. The others i play with.
    Now to the problem.
SATA 5 & 6 have stopped working so decided to use 8 & 9 as a stop gap then they stopped working then the rear sound stopped working whilst the front output was ok. SATA 1 & 2 are ok
When the machine posts SATA 1 & 2 show hardrives 5 & 6 show gobbledegook or nothing
Have uninstalled and reinstalled all chipset drivers and audio drivers and still have the problem

Any ideas what the problem is please

    Re: AB9 SATA Problem

strongly suggest a cmos reset, with the power removed from the PSU change the jumper for the CMOS reset to the other position, see ur manual for location or look closely near the cmos battery, its a fidly yellow jumper right next to the battery, leave for 30 seconds then put back to original position and boot. U will get a CPU unworkable error on first boot, enter the bios and change the settings to ur preffered.

If your not comfortable with the above then post ur exact specs and bios level on here and someone will give u step by step help or suggestions

If you still get the error then we may need to consider a bios upgrade if ur running an old bios, its an odd problem to be sure but ur in the right place for help fella. You need to fully understand the implications of a bios flash. If ur not comfortable with the above I would suggest u get hold of someone who is for advice or hands on help
