    IP35 Overclock

I know this won't get the highest view count relevant to overclocking but I'll give it a shot here:

I'm running an E4500 @ 300x10 at the mo through a divider which makes my 800MHz ram run at 750MHz - I'm happy with these speeds but as with most people on this forum (?), I like to see if I can tweak stuff
I tried running @ 333x9 so I could use a divider which would run the ram at 800 but I can't POST at this rate
I've tried 267x11 too to no avail
Does doubling the FSB of a CPU require much more juice?

Am I missing some quirk or can anyone suggest something helpful please?

    Re: IP35 Overclock

overclocking always needs more power, but i thought the multiplier on intel chips was locked unless you got an extreme edition?

    Re: IP35 Overclock

i think that e4500 has a multiplier of 11.. that's why he can change the multiplier

    Re: IP35 Overclock

Intel cpu's are only multiplier locked upwards, not downwards.

Increased voltage to 1.41 = 300x11 with ease

    Re: IP35 Overclock

    I thought I'd add a quick update
These IP35s are fantastic to work with
E4500@3.3GHz & Q6600@3.0GHz with no effort at all
    Excellent layout too

    PS: IP35 + CorsairHX520 + AntecP182 + Scythe Ninja +Q6600 = awesome combo
