Abit IP35 pro uGuru vista 64 problem
Hi I tried to install uguru 3.1.0.7 but It won't work I get to install then at the end a msg box appears and saying please login in as adminstrator to run this program once so that you won't see this dialog box again. If I run ugur I cant get any of the feature abitEQ just general settings. There is only one account which is the adminstrator! I'm not the only one that has had this problem

Re: Abit IP35 pro uGuru vista 64 problem
that's a 2 year old thread & iirc there wasn't a 64-bit compatible version then (certainly not for Vista).
Re: Abit IP35 pro uGuru vista 64 problem
Well what I have found is if you dont install xp or vist with an admin password then uGuru will not star up.
Re: Abit IP35 pro uGuru vista 64 problem
I certainly have uGuru running on 32-bit XP without an admin password & on several systems.
although I've got Vista 64 I haven't installed it so can't comment on that yet.
Re: Abit IP35 pro uGuru vista 64 problem
I had uGuru installed under Vista64. It would start up OK, but it didn't want to close down. Also I had the occasional BSOD which said that the offending file was uguru.sys. I removed all mention of uguru from my system and the BSODs went. I don't think it likes Vista64 very much...
Re: Abit IP35 pro uGuru vista 64 problem
have had 3.107 happily running on a couple of Vista 64bit machines since it was released with no probs. Did have probs with older ver of uguru tho. Mobos it works on that I've used are AB9-Pro, IN9-32max and IP35 Pro, all were running Vista Ultimate 64bit, 4GB+ and Q6600's. Note that in ALL cases UAC was disabled which cauised me all manner of problems/annoyances
Re: Abit IP35 pro uGuru vista 64 problem
Yeah UAC may well be the problem. I'm not sure about turning it off though.

agree, I only turn it off because I am fully aware of the security consequences and other measures are in place, my bad for not pointing that out ;)
