I know it probably does not help... but I have 3 AB9 Quad QTs and all boot up with a pair (2*1GB) of Corsair Dominator 8500 at the BIOS default of 1.8v even though they are spec'ed at 2.1v, and I can install Windows and run quite happily at those settings. I then up to 2.1v in order to undertake the OC settings, when the extra voltage is required.
Running with 4*1GB was a different matter - but all sorted now.
