Great stuff! I really didn't like having the big ribbon cable inside my beautifully tidy P-182!

Re: IP35-Pro - replacing IDE DVD with SATA DVD

I am also replacing my IDE drive, however, when I switch the bios settings, then my 400GB sata drive isn't recognized (but my RAID5 array drives function properly, they are being managed by the Intel 'matrix' storage). I have tried disabling the storage (DVD drive doesn't function, 400GB drive doesn't work), and I have tried RAID, IDE, and AHCI - none work properly.

I can see the drive in 'My Computer' but it wont recognize any discs, and keeps asking me to insert a disc, and when I do, it basically freezes.

    What am I doing wrong?

    thx for any help.
