I've just got my hands on a new 1.1 rev board.
Am I right in thinking that the 1.1's have the rev 14 bioses, and that the q9450 should work out of the box (well work long enough for me to run memtest and then to flash to 16)

afaik the earliest BIOS that shipped on a V1.1 was 14.
Yep that's my question really. It says that Bios 12 supports "Yolkfield".
So there should be limited support from the 14 bios, that's good enough to flash - that is my assumption, but I don't want to bork my Bios on an assuption, so hearing that it is fine would be a help.
To answer my own question - yes it's fine. It seems to read the temps wrong, which is fixed on upgrading the BIOS.
The bios has quirks - nothing major, but do check that any change to the memory ratio becomes active (it sometimes gets selected but doesn't update to the bios)
Also it allows 8.5 to be selected in BIOS, when in fact it does nothing.
