In the immortal words of Ali-G "Is it cos I is an Overclocker?"
I have been informed that we will ship to distribution in the next 10 days.
The BIOS will be worth the wait

I'm not too keen on the look of that heatsink, and the PCI-E Slots are one slot too close together for me.
The Silent Otes heatsink also look wonky.

The IP45-MAX has a pair of x16 PCIe 2.0 slots, two PCIe x1 slots and two PCI slots. Around the back you'll find a PS/2 port, eight USB 2.0 ports, FireWire, two eSATA, 7.1-channel audio with optical and coaxial S/PDIF out, Gigabit Ethernet and a CMOS reset button. This board also has six SATA connectors, headers for a further four USB 2.0 ports and, of course, silent OTES chipset cooling and micro Guru BIOS. Finally, this board has four DDR3 memory slots with support for 1,600MHz DDR3 memory.
No pictures are available of these boards, but the IP45 will have an orange PCB, with the IP43 Pro having a blue one and the IP45-MAX having a black one.![]()
Oooh, liking these Abit boards as of late, any idea on what the pricing might be, or even a range on the price?
Thanks Nelly for sourcing the above info.
Great news, will be interesting to see the full lineup not worth speculating but I'm curious if the IP45 GT3 will now make an appearance - MAX series always topend, nice to see MAX motherboards in both X48 & IP45.
Cant wait to see a retail pic of the Abit IP45-MAXif it's true the pcb will be black as the engineering sample pics shown on various websites were blue pcb.
