uGuru.sys-BSOD
Hi everyone-My first posting here.
Most recently- E8500 (replacing e6550), BIOS 17 (replacing BIOS 14), Uguru 3.109 (replacing 3.103) installed at same time. E8500 & DRAM all benchmark stable at 4100Mhz/862MHz.
OS-Vista Ultimate x64-SP-1.
Symptoms:
Random BSOD with uGuru.sys indentified as cause in BSOD and Logs. Random, means no discernable pattern of Load/Temp/Programs/etc. Happens about once a day.
I uninstalled Uguru and all files I could find, except a Registry file that contained "UGURU/ system32\drivers\uguru.sys" and the" Windows\system32\Drivers\Uguru.sys".
I kept the drivers because I believe that the ABIT MOBO has a uguru chip and wasn't sure whether the driver was required for the board to function.
BSOD still happening and "Uguru.sys" still identified as cause.
Any ideas or suggestions most welcome.
Thanks

Re: uGuru.sys-BSOD
the driver is only necessary in order to use the GUI & to make changes.
uGuru (via BIOS) & the mobo will function without it.
3.109 should work under Vista 64 though but I know that SP1 had/has problems with a few drivers.

Re: uGuru.sys-BSOD
would that apply to my situation as well? I have an Abit in9 32X-MAX mb running the uGuru system. I recently updated to win 10 from the download page and installed ok except for the boot up sequence. i get an error for the uGuru.sys driver not signed and it screws up the boot sequence. I Love this board that i,ve dragged up from xp pro. if you're right, I should be able to remove the uGuru system and it should work fine, otherwise, back to 7. Let me know what you think, Thanks
