Hi Folks,

I have recently dug out my old motherboard to see if i could get a cannibalize a spare machine from parts lying about the place.

I have an AW9D-Max with latest 17 bios. When i start up the machine I get a checksum error defaults loaded press F1 to continue.

whether I hit F1 or DEL the screen clears and i just get a flashing curser in the top left of the screen with the LED display on the motherboard reading 89. I think this may have happened the last time i tried to use the board but urgently needed a working machine so just got a new motherboard.

I have a Intel duo core 6300 and abit x1950 pro 512 sitting in it with 1gb memory, and a hdd connected while trying to get it to boot.

I have clearing the cmos for an extended period but no joy.

Any ideas? Board had it or just corrupt bios?
