About your BIOS 13, i never used this BIOS. Only BIOS14 man. If you have problems runnig any FSB between 800 and 1333, just jump direct to 1333 and lower your multiplicator, to archive a lower CPU clock.

    Good Luck

It doesn't work for 1.4.. The E4300 is notoriusly shoddy on this board, where basically the only real overclocking I have ever seen is with 1.3 beta for the E4300.. Hell its even more interesting that after the 1.3 beta it reads my degrees upwards to 10 degrees higher to the 1.3beta.. Which is unrealistic at best when its breaking Core temp with the Tjunction even as high as 95 degrees (most agree itsusually 90 or 85 tjunction for e4300).. Yeah I did 2 hours of stress test.. Often times these BSOD are happening randomly when I have nothing in the background loading.. its wierd.

    B.S.O.D..... hummmm

You run a good voltage on your memory´s, are they too hot? Did you touch the modules?

Also, did you run 9 hours of ORTHOS in blend mode to see if anything wrong happens?

About some cooling in the N.B, did you have some? It whould be important to have a cooler on the N.B.

Looks like you need a extensive test programe to be sure that everything is ok, that´s a pain in the ass but...

If anything I have too much cooling.. I am using the Antec Nine Hundred.. With http://www.antec.com/Believe_it/product.php?id=MjM= 3 120 mm air intakes.. 2 upfront, 1 on the door that blows directly on the NB.. Not to mention my CPU cooler is a Mini Typhoon with a aftermarket fan on it that blows more air than the one that came with it.. Down current on the NB.. Furthermore it also has 2 60mm fans attached on it blowing on both the ram and NB.. I than have one 120mm and a massive 200mm fan outake on the top and top of the back.. My 4850 also has the HIS iceq4 blower on it so heat never generates in that case.. Anyways I raised my voltage in a few areas, havn't gotten a BSOD.. And my cores are crazy cool at 2.45 ghz and 90 tjunction (though I believe the E4300 is 85 tjunction..) with prime95 small FFT they never get hotter than 56c, and the highest I have seen a PC game get core wise I think is like 45.. Funny enough its Prototype, Crysis actually uses my processor less. My PSU is also more than adaquate with a 650 Watt premium SLI approved Thermaltake.
My ram also has heat spreaders on it.. Furthermore I have touched my NB when its doing 2 hours of testing, the hottest I have felt it is luke warm.

Thumbs up Re: Woes with the E4300 and FP-IN9..

That´s a pretty decent CASE RIG, nice dude! My case sucks hard, only have one frontal 120mm fan and two 90mm fan at the back, but they are all low RPM fans, so the noise inst so loud. Using Intel Burn In Test @ 3.6 and 1.375v vCORE my coretemp say´s 71ºC for each one!

auhuhahuahuahuahuah, I´m runnig BIOS16 at the moment.

Nice you can see the red Abit inside your case, cool !

Glad to know that you sorted your BSOD problems, have fun !

    See Ya

Re: Woes with the E4300 and FP-IN9..

Got another random BSOD during the beginning part of Dawn of War 2 randomly during its commercial cut scenes.. This is just with a moddest 2.45ghz overclock from 1.8ghz.. My ram is still unlinked at 800 mhz with 4-4-4-12 timings..

Cpu core volt is at 1.35, my DDR2 ram is at 2.2v which is the rated default of my Crucial ballistix, my CPU VTT is 1.25vtt.. NB is at 1.27v... Any suggestions to me I shouldn't be getting these random BSOD with the cooling I have.. And the fact that I have read people getting it at E4300 to 3.0ghz with stock voltage.. Could it be the bios problem?

Nops, you should be ok with the voltages you set, test your ram, try to relax your timmgns, use 5-5-5-15 CR1 and make tests. But first be sure that your mem is ok.

Did you test your system with Intel Burn In ? Stress the system for 2 hours is little to nothing, i got erros with ORTHOS after 9 hours of testing...

    Good Luck

See the thing with that is the ballistix ram I got was suppose to be at 4-4-4-12 timing, I have its stock voltage.. And its at stock speeds I am a bit confused why this would happen.

Here is the product page.. 2.2v, 4-4-4-12 timing as the default settings.. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820146565

Did you got B.S.O.D at stock settings? Faulty RAM maybe? Try to make some tests at stock settings, to be sure that your RAM is fine.

Anyway it whould be nice to you first be sure that your system is solid at stock settings then make your over clock. The timmgs thing also could help.

Yeah my system isn't new, I have had it for quite awhile including the ram.

Re: Woes with the E4300 and FP-IN9..

Well I set back my overclock to 2.25ghz and I havn't gotten any more problems.. Should I my cpu core more? Its at 1.34, which I thought was acceptable for upwards to 3.0ghz overclock.. My other voltages are the same.. Also there is a bug with vcore on this bios where 1.4v = 1.35 or 36 in actuality.

Yes try more juice dude !

Just for your info, for 3.6Ghz my 45nm E8400 runs 1.375v in the BIOS for TOTAL ROCK SOLID operation !

I quite dont care about those high voltages, since i have a proper cooler! Degradation for me is a mith, never happened with my CPU !

Re: Woes with the E4300 and FP-IN9..

To my understanding for my 65nm E4300.. Its voltages arn't really high to begin with.. Isn't the border not to go over 1.45 or 1.5v?

Re: Woes with the E4300 and FP-IN9..

I believe that for 65nm C2D CPU´s the safety limit is 1.475v for dayli use. For 45nm CPU i try to stay below 1.425v...

But i not sure about those values.

Anyway o never had a single problem using lot´s of voltages, my old E6320 and E6550 never had a single problem with HIGH voltages and those CPU´s are still runnig today with no problems at all.
