    Problems after reseting cmos

    Hello,

I am currently panicking big time since my computer wont restart since I reset my CMOS.

There may be no reason to worry but I had one boot disk and one raid 0 consisting of two 500gb seagate hard disks in. Is it possble that because i reset my cmos that the raid 0 could have been affected?

The two disks were plugged directly into my mobo so I am guessing the raid was controlled by windows or the mobo. I have some very valuable unbacked up media on the raid 0 and I am really worried I will need to reconfigure it to get it up and running again and might in the process wipe it or something...

Could anybody shed any light on this subject for me.?

Currently my computer seems to be trying to repair windows at boot up and I have selected for it use a system restore point, although its not moving from here it just says its trying to fix errors but not actually getting anywhere.

Thanks a ton for any advice on this.

    Spencer

If you reset the CMOS, you will need to re-enter the BIOS parameters that are stored in the CMOS so that the disks and RAID are recognised. The data should still be intact. Why did you reset the CMOS?
