    ip35 pro 2nd ethernet whats it for

    Hi all never used it and have now sold it to the nephew and he has asked what its for and i couldn't tell him,
    any help on this

    Its for the same as the 1st port, for reference, the 1st is the bottom one, and its for plugging RJ45 ethernet cables in to.

    What you use it for is up to you, although I personally disabled it as I dont need 2.

    Some people use it for multi-homed networks, such that one is connected to the internet, the other to their home network on different IP ranges. I believe some use it like this when at LAN parties and such, 1 for the LAN games, 1 for internet.

    Other than that, its just a silly growing trend as far as I can see.

    Yeah, you can use ICS (Internet connection sharing), hook the Xbox in and have it use the net. The PC does need to be on though.

    To be honest, just buy a cheap switch. Easier, no software to configure and you don't need the PC on.
