Question ABIT AW9D-Max - supported CPUs

I have a question about the supported CPU on the Abit AW9D-Max Motherboard as the list of supported CPUs seems not to be up to date.

The Core2Quad 9300 and 9400 and the Core2Duo e7000 Series CPUs are not listened in the supported CPU list. CPUs that have been launched before AND after the mentioned CPUs are listed as compatible CPUs fot the mentioned Motherboard. Therefore I wold like to know whether the above listed CPUs are supported by the AW9D-MAX Motherboard.

Thanks in advance for any answers !!!

Re: ABIT AW9D-Max - supported CPUs

can't say for sure but i have a Intel Core 2 Extreme QX6700 Kentsfield 2.66GHz 2 x 4MB L2 Cache LGA 775 130W Quad-Core Processor on mine and works like a champ so i'm betting those would be supported as well. the actual manual has a differn't CPU list then the abit website for the board plus you might look at the CPU's ABIT tested on the board cause if i remember correctly they tested a few that wern't on either list as well that tested fine. its on the mobo's page on ABIT's site over on the right.

Re: ABIT AW9D-Max - supported CPUs

all three of mine now (two aw9d-max and one aw9d) have bios version 18 (search this board, i havn't posted enough to post a url) with two QX6700 and one E6500k with no problems. only errors I've ever had, all had to do with memory errors. on one aw9d-max has one qx6700 with two sets of GSKILL (PI BLACK 2x2GB dual channel kit F2-6400CL4D-4GBPI-B 1.8v-1.9v DDR2 800 4-4-4-12) and the aw9d has one E6500k with GSKILL (4x1GB quad channel kit F2-6400CL5Q-4GBNQ 1.8v-2.0v DDR2 800 5-5-5-15) and the last board, aw9d-max, has a qx6700 with GSKILL has a QX6700 as well with 4x2GB quad channel kit GSKILL (F2-6400CL5Q-8GBPQ 1.8v-1.9v DDR2 800 5-5-5-15)

sorry took months, i never got a notification i had a reply... anyway C1 is a memory error or L2 cache error (it's more probable one or all of your memory sticks have errors, run memtest to check them) and yes DDR2 800 Mhz is supported. read my post above for my three board details. the 6F error is a floppy drive error. either turn it off in the TWO places in the bios if you don't have one connected. if you do have a floppy drive connected, then check the cable and check if its plugged in correctly and getting power.
