FP-IN9 SLI and Q8200 Major Problems Windows 7 Error

    Hi

I am having issues with my system

I have ran this for last 2 years error free using E6750 Processor. My bios was number 16 and I have 8GB DDR2 800 Ram. Never overclocked always ran at stock. I got a Q8200 in a PC i bought form ebay, works perfect in the ASUS G41 motherboard it came with. Decided to swap them over and cannot get anywhere.

I installed Q8200, reset CMOS and then turned on pc, booted up perfect, got into windows and then started having problems. System would just freeze and then a message popped up saying Windows encountered Critical error and will shut down in 1 minute. Event log shows Issas.exe status code 255. I tried everything, updated bios to EO stepping beta via dos and still same. I have disabled EIST, Thermal Control, C1E, rebooted each time enabling them one by one and in different configurations and nothing. Constant rebooting. No BSOD at all though throughout. I have reverted back to previous Bios 16 now though.

I have E6750 back in now and works perfect, even tried overclocking and got to 375 before running into problems. Q8200 back in other PC and works perfect.

I had ran WEI on PC when Quad was installed and both this and ram scored 7.1. Also ran Intel Burnin for 1 pass and no problems.

All hardware is in excellent working order, been told Q8200 is compatible but I cant get anywhere. Literally out of nowhere PC just goes off and restarts or 1 minute window shut down pops up.

My PSU is asking is OCZ Extreme 600W and my Graphics is HD 7770

I had already created new power profile, disabling all Windows 7 power management as read that was a problem. I do also have an issue at moment as Windows is saying unidentified device and cannot locate drivers. Nothing but my Graphics is plugged in and nforce drivers are all installed.

Anyone able to help, I just want to run new Quad on my gaming system as seems a waste having it stuck in little matx case

Re: F9-IN9 SLI and Q8200 Major Problems

Could be that your motherboard only accepts 65nm which is your E6750, where as the q8200 is 45nm. If you had the q6600 it should work. As you will notice here the board it came with only accepts 45nm http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P5G41TM_LX/

Re: F9-IN9 SLI and Q8200 Major Problems

Just had another look and your F9-IN9 board has a FSB rating of 1066 or 800mhz, the Q8200 is 1333mhz so not compatible with your Abit board. http://ark.intel.com/products/36547/...z-1333-MHz-FSB http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/mai...pin9sli_4.html
