Abit FTP Backup (including E0 Updates)

Just figured I'd post this here...
I've got an FTP server running with the entire contents of the original Abit FTP, which includes everything they've ever offered for download on their now-defunct website.

This includes manuals (in several languages), high-res promo photos, BIOS updates (release and beta versions), Abit specific utilities (µGuru, vGuru, AbitEQ, HW Doctor, etc.) and lots of other stuff.
The folder structure is 1:1 from abit's FTP, meaning it's not that intuitive..

    BIOS Updates
    /pub/download/bios/

E0 Beta BIOS updates (mainly for 45nm Core 2 Duo/Quad, Pentium Dualcore and Celeron Dualcore CPU support (fixes CPU temperature problems in BIOS for example))
/pub/download/bios/! E0 Stepping BIOS Updates/ (they're also in the respective motherboard folders clearly marked as E0)

Beta BIOS Updates and utilities (mainly for older Boards ; also old beta drivers)
    /pub/download/beta/

    Manuals in various languages
    /pub/download/manual/

Utilities (e.g. µGuru, vGuru, AbitEQ, HW Doctor, Flashmenu BIOS updater, etc.)
    /pub/download/utilities/

Drivers of all kinds (including Abit AirPace PCIe x1 WLAN/WiFi incl. Utility software and several stone-age drivers most manufacturers probably don't even offer for download anymore )
    /pub/download/driver2/

Promo photos of mainboards, graphics cards and other stuff
    /picture/

Mainboard specs. These are PDF versions of the abit website motherboard pages to look up a basic set of specs for a given board model (similar to abit.ws)
    /Motherboard Specs (website)/[/COLOR]

    Notes:
    • Anonymous account enabled, i.e. no username/password needed (If asked, use "Anonymous" as username and type something random for the password)
    • Download speed is limited to about 1MByte/s per IP
    • Trying to download the entire contents of the FTP will result in a ban (temporary at first, if the person doesn't stop, permanent)
    • This is hosted on a dedicated server, not some home-server crap that'll disappear in a couple weeks/months
    • I'm permanently seeding the abit torrent from that server as well

If you want to set up a mirror/clone, use the "abit.torrent" file in the root directory of the FTP to download everything (about 20GB total) via torrent instead of hammering the FTP. If you can't follow this simple instruction/rule and still try to grab everything via FTP, you'll get banned automagically.
    -----

    And finally.. Here's the FTP

    ftp://91.121.194.115

Re: Abit FTP Backup (including E0 Updates)

Thanks. Kind of unfortunate the HDD in the server went up in smoke
HDD was in limp-mode (500+ bad sectors) for several days before it died completely. I'll rebuild things ASAP, but as of right now, the FTP is unavailable.

Unfortunately, my hoster doesn't seem to give a *§$& about customer support whatsoever, so it could take some time till I can reinstall and get things going again. If this doesn't work out till the end of the month, I will probably switch to a less incompetent (and less expensive) hosting company..

If anyone needs something specific, just send me a PM with what you need

edit: Yes, I do have backups.

Re: Abit FTP Backup (including E0 Updates)

Hi, I could really do with the E0 BIOS for the IP35, see if I can get my hasty eBay purchase CPU going, which it isn't at the mo. If we could sort something out it would be appreciated. Don't know if I'm a muppet or PM is disabled for a new account - but - can't see any PM buttons anywhere.

    Thanks

    JF

Not sure about the E0 thing. This link will give you all the BIOS versions available for the IP35 & IP35-E motherboards. I got the file off one of the big Abit ftp rips on Pirate Bay.

It's the IP35. Might be the 63a10 bios in the file provided by Summoner (thanks Summoner)...I'll give it a whirl.

Any beta bios's available I'd try them too, or it's going to be new mobo time anyway so not much to lose ha!

Re: Abit FTP Backup (including E0 Updates)

SUMMONER's files are all release BIOSes, not the beta ones.

Here's the last beta BIOS for the IP35 and IP35-E (they both use the same BIOS file)

[edit: see first post ; server is back up]

Still trying to get my server going again, but the hosting company has proven to be ridiculously incompetent..
The server is running, but I can't reinstall the OS due to strange bugs in the administration panel thingy and the support is pretty much nonexistant (waiting several weeks for them to react to support tickets)..

Re: Abit FTP Backup (including E0 Updates)

    Hi Bambooz,

I'm working on trying to get a Xeon E5405 to work on the AW9D. Could you please zip the bios files 17 and 18 including betas and post. Been waiting ages for your ftp to get back online but I couldn't take it anymore and had to register, join and ask you directly.

So far I can boot the AW9D with E5405 into windows 8 at ~164fsb any higher and I get 4E error bios lockups. Once or twice the aw9d as actually booted up at full speed but after a reboot it falls apart and it won't work again. Currently benching the motherboard and will run some superpi to see if the board is okay for a few hours tomorrow.

[edit: see first post ; server is back up]

If that link doesn't work (Dyndns.org has effectively killed D-Links free ddns service.. just a matter of time till it stops working) try this link instead. Dynamic IP.. can't guarantee it'll work forever.
[edit: see first post ; server is back up]

Don't have any of the older ones handy at the moment. I still haven't given up on the server stuff, so stay tuned. It will eventually come back online.
One thing is very clear to me though: never ever will I get another server at OVH/Kimsufi. Looks like it's Hetzner or nothing.

Thank you Bambooz! Life saver :-D. The thought of having to download a 19GB zip for one or two 1MB files sent shivers down me spine. Good luck with getting things back and running elsewhere.

    Hi Bambooz,

I have been trying to find the E0 bios for my Abit FP-IN9 SLI, but all links are dead. Could you share it? You could also zip all the E0 bios files into one package, so everyone can download the bioses easily.
