Abit-AS8 Audio

I've had the Abit-AS8 for over a year now and am very pleased with it However, the audio output carries with it an odd noise. I don't know if it's interference or some other factor. I have the latest drivers installed but the noise just won't go away. Any solutions or will I just have to live with it?

Is the "Line in" and "microphone" options muted within the sound panel ?

To be honest, ive always found that there is a little background noise on Abit boards when using onboard sound. They seem to be very sensitive to grounding.

a failure of most onboard solutions is electrical interference, drove me to purchase a soundcard and Ive never looked back

I use the microphone, but line in isn't muted. I'll try that.
Edit: There is less noise now but still a small amount. I probably will be getting a soundcard soon anyway.

xfi extreme music is a top card, very good for games, changed my BF2 experience

I agree.
The sound quality is fantastic for around £50 or so.
