System goes BEEP whenever I start my system but goes away in like 2 sec..
Well, might as well fire up a question as this little bit is making my mind go nuts..
Okay, I recently swapped my GFX card to an Abit AX8 v. 2.0 for work reasons,
Its a 3200+ Venice E6 @ 2.4Ghz
Abit AX8 v. 2.0
4x512MB ram
and 2x160GB of HDD
All running happily on a 530W Tagan Easycon using a 7800GT..
Then when I dropped my X1800XT 512MB to this board.. the system starts up..then gets this over the head noise like 'beeep *high* beeeep *low*...' for like 2 seconds. It does it everytime.. everytime I restart, reboot... it makes this very very annoying post beep. Wasnt happening on my 7800GT..
So I thought it was a power problem, dropped my overclock to stock 2.0Ghz.. ripped out 2 sticks of ram, booted with only 1 drive, and still Im getting that beep..
Any ideas?
The X1800XT was previously from another system, running the same model PSU, and I wasnt getting beeps..
EDIT: also, the system works fine the rest of the time.. no crashes or anything, prime stable.. 3Dmark stable.. Just beeping everytime I restart..
