    Question AN8-SLI Thermal Throttle

    How do i disable AMD thermal throttling on AN8-SLI bios?

    no i just want to fry..

    ..my chip Built in on AMD prossesors (n intel conroe too) When temp rises "2 high" its shutdown the whole puter for safety reansons but it just happen little bit too soon.. prmlem is this: i need add voltage to 1.525 to the get 2750Mhz (steady) but it doesnt run under heavy load more than twenty-30 minutes cuz its triggs that stupid thermal thing up so ineed to disable it its is possible to do.. i heard that on DFI mobos has some switch to turnit off but i don't known how to do it on Abit if anybody knows plz tell me

    Cooler is AC 64 is it inough? n im not gonna add water cooling

    according to the Rojakpot BIOS Optimisation guide :
    Thermal Throttling
    This BIOS feature determines the clock speed of the processor when it is in the Suspend To RAM (STR) power saving mode. It has no effect when the processor is in normal active mode.

    If you mean shutdown on reaching a certain temp it's in the temperature monitoring section of the AbitEQ's part of the BIOS.



    Are you sure that it's shutting down due to CPU temp. as the default setting is pretty high?

    63degree 100% load

    If its not heat What else it could be then? Been disable shutdown in eq menu etc.. but nothin seems to help exept lower voltage&speed like isaid it happens after about 30min under heavy load sure i can surf whole day without any prob but if i start to play after while.. kaboom

    without your system spec it's hard to say but it could also be your gfx card or PSU suffering under the stress/heat
