Raptor 74gb Issues with AS8

I've already posted this but:
I have just installed a new raptor in my pc because my old boot drive failed. After installing, the bios says that the raptor is called BzBzBzBzBzBzBzBz . I take it that this is not normal and I'm not going to be installing windows untill I know of a way to fix this. Can anyone help???
Edit: I've updated the bios and that didn't work and I also tested the raptor on another pc and it worked perfectly

Is it the same on both SATA ports?

I snapped my 1st sata port a while ago

If this is the case maybe you have damaged the SATA controller? Do you have any other SATA drives you can try?

Yeah I am currently using an old sata drive that was going to be replaced with the raptor.

So is the Hard drive you are using working OK? and is the new hard drive SATA1 or SATA2?

The current one is fine and I believe that the raptor is SATA1

Can you tell the full model name for your Raptor drive.

After looking at the specs of the hard drive a can find no reason why its not displaying the correctly in the bios . I can only guess that there is either a fault with the motherboard or the hard drive. Sorry I carn't be more helpful.

Its fine. I'll be getting a new motherboard in July anyway. Thanks for your help.
