I landed upon this.
If anyone has any information on this please share.
Zee Germans are selling it for 220euro, £148
imo inverted cases are an incredibly stupid idea, and won't make it into 08
Oh balls... Why did I have to buy that case... Today's turning out not so great...
Just thought i would try to cheer you up

Nice 1 chris, look forward to the results
OK, got here at 8pm, thought I would take my time with this one.
XP64 is installed and the machine is up and running.
Just sorting out drivers and programs etc. Will post some O/C results either tonight, if its not too late, or tomorrow night when I have come back from work.
I like the little LED modes you can select, they are really cool. :)

I know its nothing special but I'll try tomorrow night when its not hectic. :)
OK update! :)
Got to 3.0GHz:

But I'm wondering why CPU-Z is saying my memory is 5300... Will get started on that now.
Can anybody and Chris in particular confirm whether the AW9D-Max shows any wierd glitches with Geil ram (and other makes) when overclocking past 400fsb? i.e. with my PW5DH ram has to be set to SPD but it cant read the SPD right & sets very lax timings.
I thinking of changing from my Asus P5W-DH to this board because of the ram issues it has and lack of redress with the new bios releases. But before I swap I want to try & make sure that it likes my ram when heavily overclocked.
I have actually got mine to 3.2GHz at the moment, just leaving it to settle down and make sure its stable... I'll give it another try tonight tho try and get a little higher clock speed and check the memory "issue". :)
I think I will wait as I am watercooling a Silverstone TJ6 I would have taken the fancy heat pipes off in any event but only 1 PCI slot is an absolute error: I want X-fi plus dual TV tuner: Has any manufacturer got the guts to drop the IDE interface (and floppy interface) and use the extra room to give us 2 or even 3 PCI slots and dual graphics board.
I just took delivery of mine yesterday from Ebuyer, along with a C3D X1800GTO, 2GB of Crucial memory (Best value in the Custom PC mag last month with wkd overclocking potential), E6600 CPU and a Hyper 580W modular PSU (note you need to buy the P8 connector seperately for it to work the board, also bought it from the same site, i think newer Hyper PSU's may have it included though so worth checking).
Ordered it on a 3 day but turned up next day, very happy with that
Working tonight on the system after loading Vista beta on at 1am this morning :woowoo:
Will comment further when playing around with it. Any comments on the GTO card? Any overclocking etc?
To add to my post i have a question... is there anywhere to find drivers and utilities for the board that work on vista? Tried installing them off the original CD but to no avail as it only supports to XP. Any way to get round it? nothing on the Abit site nor Intel doesn't help.
No you dont need the 8 pin! Just using the main atx power and the 4pin p4 connector, also abit recommend that you use the 4 min molex fitting on the otherside of board. I tend to agree in part with this. I also have the hiper type -r 580 watt PSU (the blue one) and I have found that if you are using the cpu at STOCK speeds then that molex connector does not need to be installed. However if you want to overclock and achieve high speeds and need the board to be STABLE at those speeds, install the molex power plug on that side of the board aswell. It provides the motherboard with the needed juice to achieve stability at high Overclocks.
Glad to help
ABIT overclocks to the MAX

Hello, i'm a new guy here.
Is Abit AW9D-Max supporting Ati 4850 crossfire? In MB box i found SLI connetcor (for NVidia i think).
