There is a fraction over 2.8cm clearance between the bottom of the base of the tuniq tower and the 120mm fan which is suspended inside it. (this would be the lowest point in the tuniq).

This means if you position the tuniq facing the rear exhaust fan it will be the widest side (15.3cm) which could overhang the NB chipset on this board.

If it does overhang it, and if the NB chipset is higher then 2.8cm which looking at the pics seems likely then the Tuniq will not fit in the optimal position.
OK I have some measurements for youmatey

The Northbridge s 5CM tall including a 40mm fan. There is around 9cm between centre of CPU to beginning of the Northbridge area. Hope it helps buddy

Can anyone give us a statement why the review is delaying that much ?

We know anything with the bios ... but what ?

A friend of mine got the board yesterday. He said he could boot one time

and now the board is dead no leds are working ....

He reseted the bios cmos clear nothing happens

Another guy says that he loses the uGuru settings over night

Cheers mate. Helps a lot. The Tuniq is 15.3cm long, (so assuming that is 7.65cm on each side from the centre of the cpu), and since the beginning of the northbridge is 9cm away as you say - I should be ok.

    Will know on Friday anyway

    thanks

Is there any caps on the back of the mobo that would block the mounting of a cpu backplate (like the caps on the evga). ?

As you can see by the photographs there isnt i.e the one that shows the underside of the board with the overclocking strips thati s around the cpu.

You will be fine with a back plate so long as you dont cover the oc strips!

Is there anything else I can do to help?

    cheers

No thanks. You have been very helpful.

Just was wondering if you could tell us if there are any boot issues with the board (or will we have to wait for the review), and did you try gaming in sli and notice any sound distortion.

Oh..one other thing...someone on OcUK forums told me there was roughly 6.5cm between the centre of the cpu and the edge of the NB. However they had everything installed so hard to accurately measure. You mentioned there was 9cm. I need at least 7.65cm space so the Tuniq has enough room to fit. I assume I am ok ?

<edit>I did a few more measurements. The Tuniq heatsink itself will clear the NB on this board no problem. The issue is the fan which hangs lower then the base of the Tuniq. Anyway the distance between the edge of the cpu socket "hole" and the edge of the tuniq fan is approx 2.8cm. So as long as there is more then 2.8cm between the cpu "hole" and the edge of the NB heatsink the bottom of the Tuniq fan will not touch the NB.</edit>

I am doing the final overclocking tests this week.

There is a small correction on the review however. The heatsinks etc ARENT copper rather a copper EFFECT. My apologies for any misunderstandings.

THe overclocking results will be done tonight and a FULL review posted tomorrow. The reason why my review is delayed is that I am trying to push the motherboard to its Limit and see exactly how far it will overclock.
