    AMD 7000 series use PCI-e 3.0. But you need a PCI-e 3.0 ready mobo to make use of it (i.e. Z77 or X79 chipsets). Though current cards have little or no boost when using PCI-e 3.0. Next generation cards should begin to make real use of it.

    also some z68 mobos too, but also you will need to have the latest cpu's ivy bridge i.e 3570k i5 etc, the sandy bridge processors don't support 3.0 pci-e

    I'd also like to add my trusty H67 motherboard fully supports PCI-E 3.0 (Biostar TH67XE)... I'm running a 3570K and Radeon 7950 (boost version) with no probs

    The extra bandwidth is only really useful if you are running multiple cards atm. For any single card use you simply don't need the bandwidth that PCIe3 provides.
