    Output in non-native resolutions isn't always centred/1:1

I've got an X1950XT, using cat 7.4s I think (might be 7.3) and I'm using an LG L204WT monitor that has a native resolution of 1680x1050.

In CCC, I've selected the option which does not stretch a smaller image, and instead displays it in the centre. However I've found that with some apps the image is still stretched to the full screen. This seems to be variable - some 2d images seem to be centred/1:1 fine, but 3d scenes get stretched to full screen all the time.

An example is the splash screens and movies in Test Drive unlimited, which run with black borders correctly, but then the menu and game are stretched.

3dmark 06 always runs streched to full screen, ignoring the CCC setting.

Is there any way of making this CCC setting actually stick?

    Thanks in advance,

I'm using 7.4's on Vista and it's the the exact opposite for me, menu's and intros are stretched but games are centered at 1400 x 1050(BF2)
You might uninstall all ATI components and then run DriverCleaner and then a fresh install.
