Just wondering whether this is possible - started using my Macbook Pro with my lcd tv using a dvi interface cable - works a treat, but I get distracted by the macbook showing the same image - Ideally I'd like to black out the MacBook whilst watching the tv - any thoughts/software that may help?

Isnt there some other way of doing it ? Or getting it to work with the screen closed?

Hi,
Try this...
Set the monitor resolution settings up first. Then disconnect the DVI cable.
Close the lid on the laptop so it goes to sleep.
Reconnect DVI cable and that should wake the laptop up even though the lid is closed.
Obviously you'll need a mouse connected to the laptop.
