iPOD through firewire card

is anyone running this combination? I am having trouble with my sisters 10gig iPOD, it shows up as attached ok but neither music match nor itunes will pick it up!

Same on 2 other machines using the card, but it used to work ok on the thrid machine plugged straight into the port. Since then though another iOD has been installed and the old one cesed to work.

It does not appear to be the firewire car as this runs a firewire hard disk without any problems.

I have heard of people having problems with add-on firewire cardsand I-pods, even though other peripherals will work with the card. I run mine through my onboard firewire and have no problems, but if I use my Audigy firewire port it doesn't see it.
