    what to do...

ok, so ive decided that my macbook isnt really meeting my needs at the moment... so i have a couple of options....

upgrade the MB, i.e. Bigger HDD, (ive just added more ram to it), buy an external HDD etc..

or sell the MB n buy a mid range MB Pro...

I would love a MPB, but its much more expensive, and im not sure i can justify spending THAT much extra, when i can upgrade the macbook and run it till i really NEED a new one....

    but im torn...

    any thoughts?

That it might help if you said what these needs you have that the MacBook is failing to meet are.

That if the MacBook is a Core Duo it's more worthwhile going to a MacBook Pro than if it's a Core 2 Duo. (The MacBook has shipped with both a 1.83ghz Core Duo and 1.83ghz Core 2 Duo.)

That I believe you can put 3Gb memory in if it's a Core 2 Duo machine, but if you can then you just kinda blew the opportunity by going to 2Gb unless you're willing to try and sell on the RAM you just bought.

    its for photography....

My MB is core duo, and the macbook pro will be a core 2 duo, if i was selling the MB i would sell the RAM with it....

A speedy 7200 drive might give you the umph you need, and they are easy to whack into the MacBook. For photography though the better graphics o the MBP and the matte screen choice might be superior.
