    Re: iPhone?

How long does O2 have exclusivity on the iPhone ? The deals should get considerably better once all the networks can compete.

    Re: iPhone?

the other problem with the iphone contract is that if you lose teh iphone or damage it, you still have to carry on with paying the monthly fee....they will not replace it unlike normal mobile contracts.

I'm just going to sit back and wait...its clear that the sales figures for the iphone arent as apple expected, so surely they will reduce teh price soon? Especially with all the iphone alternatives coming out...

I'm personally sticking with my LG Viewty for 9months (next upgrade) until the Android (or google) phones start coming out. They should rock!

    Re: iPhone?

I wont be going with the iPhone until the next version comes out with HSDPA/UMTS. And preferably with GPS built in. And they are available across all networks and are treated just like normal phones.

But I do have to admit that they are pretty cool and if you only want a phone for a phone, they more than deliver. No idea about the battery life ...

    Re: iPhone?

My uncle has one... I was so close to buying one, but after giving it all a go and viewing costs i was beyond dissapointed...

The phone generally wasnt amazing, it lacked several features which i find standard on all phones now (No Bluetooth filetransfers? Only through Itunes)

Internet browsing was slow and generally unsupported (no flash...)

There are far better multimedia phones out there, the Iphone however revolutionary it is it will never steal money from me.
