    Msn Messenger on PowerBook?

Is it possible to use programs such as msn messenger on my powerbook?

Also, will normal programs such as photoshop 7 and cubase work on a powerbook? Or do they have to be mac specific?

Once more, i'm assuming my usual BTYahoo usb ADSL modem is compatible with the Power Book G4 and the airport extreme base station?

    Thanks

To your MSN/Photoshop and Cubase questions, you will have to have the MAC specific versions of each yes! Your ADSL modem would definately depend on whether it had mac drivers I would assume?

Macs and Intel/AMD-powered computers use a completely different processor and architecture. They are completely incompatible in terms of executables (programs) running. Now, you could buy M$ Virtual PC 6 which allows you to install Windows and run windows proggies through emulation.

But actual Windoze progs straight on a Mac? No, never. Its possible to have two programs on one cd, one for mac one for PC (warcraft 3, for example), but you can't have one run for both (AFAIK, and if not 100% then 99.999% true).

    So...no!
    Well Hello!

And additional to what daverobev said, you could use an emulator, but imo, it is slow to use emulators to emulate full pc/os systems.

Go get Photoshop for Mac, it's ace. As for MSN, go get Proteus (google it). This is just like Trillian, but on crack!
