12mins to go before keynote - I've been waiting for an update to the iPhone for ages now, I don't think I'll be able to resist jailbraking it if it doesn't arrive soon. I want some apps!!!

It's hard to get into this without a live feed.
But apps are to be available soon - not sure when, maybe after keynote.
Super Monkey Ball
Some Ebay app
Loopt, a location-aware social network.
TypePad. Their native app makes it very simple to blog or send in a photo. The photo can be taken right then using the camera, or be selected from the gallery.
2 games by Pangea - Enigmo, which is a physics-based game. The second game is Cro-Mag Rally
Band, from British developer which includes a virtual piano, drums, 12-bar blues "instrument", and a bass. - this one sounds interesting (pun intended)
had a power cut there! - Lucky I'm on my MacBook Pro
MLB app - baseball
2 medical-based applications.
and apparently many more apps to be available at the app store within weeks.
But when is it available steve???

Shame no mention of the MBP yet, hopefully we'll get information about an update when Centrino 2 is officially released
Other than that, the iPhone is looking very good.. shame that you're still tied to O2 - the $199 price tag doesn't change that. Sure it's better than what they made people pay before, but you're still forking out a fair sum every month. The GPS is a nice touch, as well as proper 3rd party application support, but i'd rather wait until they brought it out for the iPod touches.
There have been some rumours that O2 will offer an upgrade to existing iPhone users - although has yet to be substantiated
I'm just a bit deflated over the delay of the firmware update and ability to use applications.

Apparently O2 will make an announcement on their website tomorrow

hmm, free g3 iphone if i renew my 18month contract at a minimum of £45/month or £99 at my current £35/month - not sure whether it's worth it just to get 3g and gps.

iPhones are not worth the money however you try to play it unless you use your phone everyday for many hours...
£45 a month Tariff is Riddiculus! I get Broandband, Phone and Skyplus for that!
It's even more silly considering 3 offer unlimited texts and a silly number of minutes per month for £25.
iPhones are cool but they are just too expensive...
I'm sticking with my Viewty for a while yet...
Yeah - it's outrageous, but I LOVE my iPhone - it's proved very useful, although perhaps I'd have been just as happy with an iPod Touch - but my wife bought me the iPhone for christmas and I pay for the iPhone tariff through my business, so it's less painful.
