    apple = price fixing

    you won't get them for anything significantly less than £49 each, assuming you mean the wired Apple Pro Mouse

    I thought that the wired mice were fixed at £39 and the wireless at £59?

    Yeah, but the Apple mouse is ALSO clear.

    *sarcasm ends*

    Do as spazman recommends. Logitech and MS produce mice that are Mac compatible. Just find one that you like.

    Isn't any USB mouse compatible...?

    But what do you poor Mac users do with all the extra buttons? Are you confused and embarrased by the scroll wheel?

    (Flame bait but still... When most mice were 2 buttoned it didn't seem a big deal but these days I find the extras really quite useful... Esp. the scroll wheel and the side buttons for back and forward in a browser)

    Heh heh heh... Still I have to say that even from a background of 99% PC / Windows use in recent years the apple kit still looks the mutt's nut's...

    I would go with a 3rd party mouse screw apple. I hate how they can somehow get away with things like this that other companies would be chastised for.

    I have a microsoft trackball explorer and it works on my mac. The scroll wheel works and the other buttons do about the same functions as on my pc.

    I agree, with 1 button thing is so limiting in todays world. Back in the OS9 days it was fine but now with dragging and clicking away from the keyboard it is annoying!

    The extra functionality is great, but things like right-click and paste doesn't work in some text boxes etc!
