    Re: Apple MBP

I have read about the faulty GPUs, which is a bit worrying!

Although, the 8600m GT in my 2.2GHz Santa Rosa MacBook Pro has been fine. I've had no issues since I purchased it in September.

I am looking forward to seeing what the new MBP will look like, seeing as the current design is about 5 years old. Hopefully an easily accessible HDD bay, eSATA and Blu ray will be included.

I doubt I'd be upgrading any time soon though (I hope for my MBP to last me a good 4 years!) unless there happens to be a true successor to the 12" PowerBook...

    Current Line being faulty?

This is news to me. I never had any problems with my MBP (well when I had it, sadly we parted company a while back )

The gfx cards the mbp uses are supposed to be part of the problems nVidia have stated about. However there doesn't seem to be any faults being reported yet, let alone widespread ones.

In short don't worry about it.

probably typical story of only those with problems posting and few without but its suggested this issue is linked to a gfx corruption of some sort.
