    Upgrading IMAC G3

Hi, I'm new to this, so please forgive me if this has been asked before.
I've just bought (very cheaply) an old IMAC G3 with OS 9.0 I think. I want to use it to connect to wireless broadband and have signed up for Orange ICON 225 - I don't have a landline so can't use a modem.Unfortunately, it requires OSX 10.3 or above. So my question is, is it worth upgrading, and if so, how do I go about it? Being a techno-idiot who's only used PCs before, please could you explain in really basic language?

    Much, much appreciated.

If the iMac has an ethernet port you could get an ethernet modem for about £10 or a Wireless Router.

the current version of osx requires a g4, so you'll need to hunt down an old version from somewhere

    Re: Upgrading IMAC G3

I just wanted to thank you all for your help. I have now had a reply from a colleague who has told me the best thing to do is get another pc/mac as the current one simply isn't worth upgrading. At least I know I can sell the old one for what I paid for it.

    thanks again.
