You misunderstand me, its a cost saving to apple, not the customer. Why add something to the package that only a small number of people will even use.
On the svideo issue, is not possible to go macbook > vga > svideo?

they didnt but i did notice that the old macs cost as folllows.
standard macbook £699 which is the same price at apple store before new macs.
standard macbook pro £1300 same price as apple store before new macs.
now the new standard macbook is £719 on the apple uk website. wait a minute in the US the old mac went down $50 yet in the uk it went up by £20? old stock going up in price is unacceptable.
the new macbook pro is £1400
has the macbook pro in the us gone up by £100?
This is quite possibly due to the devaluing £, i.e. things imported cost more for us to buy.
Re: New Macbooks, Macbook Pro's, Macbook Airs and Cinema Displays
The white macbook isn't the same spec as before, hence the increase inprice :)

Well the adaptors exist but according to the guys on the vidvox(VDMX) forums (the software i use for visuals) it doesnt work  If anyone wishes to correct me/them and has any kind of information to prove i would greatly appreciate it cuz i want one of these bad boys :D
My understanding of VGA is that it carries RGB (red green blue) information whears Svideo is Y/C (luminance and chrominance) and composite is all it bunched into one. To convert between them youw ould need proccessing and if they had allowed the card to do this surely they would have made the straight adaptors available.

I'm sure it's possible to do somehow, but its whether the cost of the adapter is worth it. If it's similar in complexity to the dual dvi one for 30in lcd's you can't see them selling many of them.
