    Snow Leopard

Surprised not to see a thread in here about Snow Leopard. Got my version today and all installed in under 40 minutes.

Nothing has really changed apart from a few tweaks but the speed at which apps now loads if great. iTunes loads in at least half the time.

    Anyone else got it?

Yep I got it and apart from slightly improved battery life on my mbp I haven't noticed any other major improvements.

    Re: Snow Leopard

i felt that most stuff loaded a lot faster after the upgrade. i'm a bit annoyed with the new quicktime cuz the bar is blocking the movie sometimes other than that the speed is amazing, at least i feel so. i quite like the new expose too

I installed it on launch day. Working very well. Not massively different just a bit quicker here and there. Worth £25 though.

    Re: Snow Leopard

Installed it on my macbook pro and liking it so far, will be perfect when a few applications have been updated.

Hard to say if it is any faster as I installed it onto a new SSD drive - so *everything* is lightning fast now regardless.

    Re: Snow Leopard

After having a few issues with my Mac and net connections for the last week or so I got around to installing it last night and updating it this morning. Pretty snappy overall, initial impressions are good. Haven't found anything not working properly yet, but I suppose it's still early days.

I've not got around to installing it yet but am planning to install it on the MacMini either tonight or tomorrow then attack my MacBook after I get back from holiday.

    Re: Snow Leopard

I installed it a couple of days after the launch.

The sticker on the bottom actually says 'MAC OSX V10.6 RETAIL' so I can't see why tiger users can't jump on it for 25 note either.

Anyway, I done a clean install and 25 mins later it was good to go. Noticeable speed boost and all my apps work so thumbs up from me!

    Re: Snow Leopard

Yes, it will install onto a Tiger installation. I have also installed it onto a brand new drive without any issues.

    Re: Snow Leopard

I managed to free up 18 gigs of hard drive space when I upgraded my work iMac to SL. No idea how that one happened
