Dual Boot OS X and Windows 7

Hi,

I have a MacBook Pro (Intel) and I've been using a virtual machine to dual boot Windows 7 as I need Windows for some University applications (I've a desktop PC too but easier to transport the Mac ) but last week I was at some community centre where they had iMacs with XP and Vista dual boot. Now, I know about Boot Camp and have recently tried it but it's not what I want it do. What I want the dual boot to do is what I saw at this community centre - whereby you start the Mac up and are automatically presented with a selection of operating systems (no pressing the option key like you have to do with Boot Camp) with a picture of each of the installed operating systems above the name of each OS. Does anybody know what the software used to do this is called and how I set my Mac up in such a way?

It's not boot camp by the sounds of it. It could be this http://refit.sourceforge.net/

No it isn't that (judging by the screen shots unless you can customise the appearance) the pictures I saw on loading up the iMacs were of the respective desktops. Although this will do for me since I no longer have to press the option key which is really annoying!

You can choose which os boot camp uses by default you know? Then you'd only need to press alt to choose the other.

Yeah I knew about that but I like the idea of choosing at start up.

i think its called chameleon or something to do with it. I did it once on a previous macbook but the hard drive failed and didnt wanna go through all the steps again. there are plenty of tutorials just need to google triple boot mac osx or something along those lines
