Transfering songs from the Ipod back to my hdd

Can this be done? Having just lost the hdd with all my mp3's it'd be nice to be able to transfer them back quickly.

try enabling hidden files in windows, should be in a hidden folder on the drive

think it strips out all the ID3 tags though

Swek, don't buy the iRiver, go for the Rio Kharma. Costs about £250, has a 14 Hour battery life, 20Gb HDD, wma, ogg, flac and mp3 compatible and a dock with an ethernet port so you can use it's Java front end to play music of it from any computer off a network. Stuff magazine (if anyone reads it!) gave it a win over the iPod and to me it looks like a quality piece of hardware.

I wonder if anyone has one in for review right this moment

    *cough*

You missed pointing out gapless playback vs 1-second silence from the iPod

And the full 5-band parametric equaliser
