Looking for the sweet spot on a Mac Book pro
Need to purchase a new one of these to replace my 4 year old model which is coming to the end of it's life.
Torn between the i5 version and the i7 but really all it will be is surfing and photo's etc the odd application here and there but nothing too intensive, am just looking for advice of which is best and also where would be a good place to buy.
I know PC world sell them now but I suspect they aren't allowed to sell cheaper than Apple, it would just be easier to pick one up from a store.
Also is there anyway to transfer data from one Macbook to another quickly and easily and lastly, If I decide to sell my old Macbook, what's the safest way to restore factory defaults and delete all my personal information etc.
thanks

I did think about that, what' the processing power like?
Can the work with large photo files etc?
Also can I install boot camp on an air and get decent windows performance when needed?

An 11.6" MacBook Air comes with a 1.6GHZ dual core Core i5-2467M and a 128GB SSD for around £1000. The 13" MacBook Pro comes with a 2.3GHZ dual core core i5-2410M and a 320GB 7200RPM hard drive for around £1000.
I suppose screen quality might be another factor:

The 13" MacBook Pro has a slightly better screen.
However,if you are serious about image editing you will need to spend a bit more on the matte screen option but you can only get this with the 15" MacBook Pro.

However,I suspect the MacBook Air will feel quicker in day to day usage and will be quicker for loading and saving files due to the SSD.
