Gadget of the Week: NaviPod

I recently got one of these very usefull gadgets for my iPod as a gift, the NaviPid. Essentially it is a remote control for your ipod, and does exactly the same as the official remote, but wirelessley. A small device plugs into the top of the 'pod, into the audio socket/remote (and firewire if its a 1st gen). On the underside, as it extends over the back of the 'pod, is a Headphone socket (and a firewire if its 1st gen)

You get a small, circular remote with it, and this then allows you to control it from a distance. The remote is IR based, so unfortunately it is line-of-sight only, and it dosnt always respod immediately. On the whole, tho, a pretty well thought out product, allowin the abilty to hook your iPod up to a speaker system, and still charge and control it wirelessly.

i got one of these and use it in the car. I got the itrip and the car charger as well and it's great although that it's line of sight only is a bit annoying but a great gadget for a great gadget
